‘If Avonbrook works through and alongside existing charities we will be able to make the best use of the charity’s funds and our own energies.’

Working in partnership to achieve results
that mean something in the real world.
The principal role of Avonbrook is to carefully select specific education projects in the developing world that will receive our funding and long-term support to ensure that a real and lasting difference is made to the community. The most effective way of achieving this is by establishing a partnership with a local or non-governmental organisation that has an in-depth knowledge of the country and particular requirements of the project.
Avonbrook’s Grant Allocation Committee, which is made up of our Trustees, allocates funds using a transparent and objective selection process that ensures that each project addresses one or both of Avonbrook’s specific aims:
- to support the recruitment, training and retention of professional teachers
- to aim to improve vocational and post-school education and training for children.
