CEO joins Next Generation Philanthropy

This year Michael Amherst will be joining Next Generation Philanthropy, a programme in strategic philanthropy for young givers interested in learning about the latest trends in grant-making.

Hosted by the Institute for Philanthropy the programme is in its third year: over the course of two modules Michael will look at issues ranging from venture philanthropy, social entrepreneurship, leadership in the non-profit world, due diligence, and evaluation.

Michael said, 'Over the coming years I intend to take Avonbrook forward: developing strategies, both at home and with our partners abroad. Our first 18 months have been enormously successful. We need to build on that with greater leadership, strategies tailored to assisting the work of our partners and a push to raise both our profile and our capital fund. My work with Next Generation Philanthropy will be invaluable in helping us to achieve these goals.'
