Avonbrook’s Board of Trustees welcomes newly appointed Edmund Page
In 2005 Edmund worked for six months with the Jesuits in Mundgod, Karnataka, India. This was in association with Loyola Vikas Kendra (LVK), a social outreach program that aimed especially to empower the tribal people of that region in terms of education, social awareness and rights, and self sustainability. During this time Edmund spent some time in hostels for ex child labourers, doing manual labour, and teaching in schools.
Since then Edmund has taught in Tanzania (2006) and also in Uganda (2008). His experience of working in a wide range of areas and with many different projects will enhance the expertise already present on the Board. Edmund is particularly keen to explore the possibilities for volunteers to work with Avonbrook.
