
Sarah Teacher Trustee
Sarah Teacher joined Avonbrook Projects Abroad as a Trustee in 2009.
Sarah is currently at Clare College, Cambridge taking an MPhil in Development Studies. Prior to her studies, she was Director for Next Generation Philanthropy at the Institute for Philanthropy, working to promote effective giving in the UK and internationally.
Whilst at the Institute for Philanthropy Sarah led Next Generation Philanthropy, a training programme in strategic philanthropy for young people aged 18-30; and programmed London and developing world activities for The Philanthropy Workshop, the world's leading donor education programme. She also wrote three research papers into the role of giving; in climate change; in microfinance; and a survey of European philanthropy with a particular focus on funding in Turkey, Germany, Italy, Russia and the UK.
She graduated from Lady Margaret Hall College, Oxford, in 2005 with a first-class degree in Modern History.
