Get involved

Avonbrook Projects Abroad wants to provide a more lasting experience for those who assist our charity. Owing to the fact that we only become involved with a limited number of projects, over the long-term, if you make a donation to us you can see how your money has been spent and the improvements it has made over a period of years.

Avonbrook also enables university students to volunteer on selected projects, either for a year, a summer placement or simply accompanying the Trustees on a fact-finding mission. Unlike many gap year organisations, any money given will go directly to the project and you can see it being put to use. Through us, you can maintain an on-going link with the project, so not only will we keep you updated but we can also arrange future visits so you can see how work at your chosen project is progressing.

We believe that such a model could have huge advantages for young professionals wishing to take a sabbatical - enabling them to spend a few months assisting in a specific field and then providing the opportunity to return during vacations.

Finally, in partnership with Exeter College, Oxford, Avonbrook offers an internship prgramme to undergraduates and graduates interested in working in international development.
